Things to Know About Orlando Airport

The Orlando International Airport is a bustle of activity with park goers, conventioneers, and those simply passing through. Souvenirs

The Orlando International Airport is a great place to buy souvenirs without waiting in the long lines at the parks. There are two official Disney merchandise stores onsite as well as a Universal, Sea World, and the Kennedy Space Center shop.

Recreation for Kids

Little ones can stay busy during delays and layovers at the King of Kong Arcade located in the main terminal.

Stay Connected

All public areas have free WiFi available, but there are fewer charging stations than at other major airports. What they do have is found in the gate areas. Headphones, cell phone rentals, and replacement chargers can be found at Airport Wireless.

No Gum

Even though chewing gum is a well-known remedy for ear popping during your flight, you won’t be able to pick it up in any of the Orlando Airport shops. It is part of an effort to keep the floors throughout the airport clean.

Disney’s Magical Express

Disney offers a free bus service to their resorts, but it is located on the main terminal building’s B side. You may have a bit of a walk if you’re using an airline with gates located on the A side.

Security Lines

The security areas have two entrances. The line closest to the terminal’s B side gets over whelmed with those coming off of Disney’s Magical Express. Walk on around the corner and try the line closer to the A side which is often much shorter. Keep in mind that security lines are long here. Allow yourself a half hour or more than what you estimate it will take you to pass through security.

Onsite Hotel

A Hyatt Regency is found inside of the main terminal building. Guests use these accommodations when departing early, arriving late, waiting for a cruise, or stranded by the weather. The rooms are cheaper than many area resorts for those reasons. Their phone number is 407-825-1234.

Store Hours

Airport stores have shorter business hours than the airport itself. Don’t wait until the last minute to purchase essential items. If you’re in need of going off property after store hours, let Ultimate Town Car know. We run 24 hours a day!

The Clinic Closed

There was once upon a time a Solantic walk-in urgent care center onsite. The clinic closed in 2012, but the airport still accommodates any medical emergencies with paramedics on the grounds.

Lost and Found

Unfortunately, if your luggage is lost, you must deal directly with the airline. However, f you lose an item while visiting the airport, you can call and check with the Lost and Found department at 407-825-2111.

Business Services

To assist commuters visiting the airport for business reasons, the airport has a full service post office, currency change, and Sun Trust Bank. These are found in the main terminal.

Chapel

A non-denominational chapel is found past gates 1-59 security checkpoints. This area cannot be accessed without a boarding pass.

Food

There are plenty of eateries at the airport that range from quick bites to full sit down dining experiences. For example, there is Burker King, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Firehouse Subs, Macaroni Grill and much more. Making a choice between all these options is tough!
